Members of the MBAEA Wellbeing Team have been hard at work to kick off the 2023-24 school year! Training has occurred around trauma-informed care and brain science, PBIS and MTSS around SEBH needs, crisis response and violence prevention, and the science around the importance of relationships. We've had a wide variety of staff from all ages and roles participating; we've loved working with them all! The team has been increasingly involved in eight districts already and is looking forward to supporting all twenty-one districts as the year progresses.

Members of the team received training from PREPaRE - the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) framework and materials for preventing and responding to crises and traumatic events within schools. In partnership with efforts for one of the districts within the MBAEA, members of the Wellbeing Team have teamed up to receive training in CHAMPS, a classroom management framework, and LifeSpace Crisis Intervention.

Members are gearing up for more great work to be done around all things Wellbeing! Upcoming trainings will include Check&Connect, Building Strong Brains, Crisis Response and Violence Prevention (CRVP), Youth Mental Health First Aid, and other brain science and trauma materials. The team is also excited to coach SEBH teacher teams and counselors, work with districts to embed SEBH into the core curriculum and classroom practices, and continue to create agency-wide PBIS experts.
